The University of Kansas Hospital Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
Our patients benefit from the unique strengths of one of the region’s premier academic medical centers. We combine compassionate patient care, research and education. We are committed to providing children with a medical home meeting all their healthcare needs, including vaccinations and recommendations for living a healthy lifestyle. Children with cancers or blood disorders often require long-term follow-up care. Our specialists offer comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, fertility preservation and social and emotional support services for infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
Our experts in pediatric hematology and oncology focus on excellence in diagnosing, treating and supporting children, teens or young adults with hematologic or oncologic diseases. Pain crises, pulmonary hypertension and hospitalizations may cause challenges to some youngsters with sickle cell disease. We help them continue the normal growth and development of childhood and adolescence.
Our doctors are experts in their fields, caring for patients and collaborating in breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. They also train the next generation of health-care professionals.
