The Missouri Sickle Cell Disease State Action Plan Initiative Large Group Meeting was held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.
The meeting brought together dedicated collaborators and stakeholders from across the state. Program directors shared updates on their initiatives, highlighting accomplishments, challenges and future priorities.
Following these presentations, the workgroups: Assessment, Assurance, and Policy Development, reported on their progress. Each group discussed completed and ongoing action items, as well as strategies to strengthen resources and improve outcomes for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease in Missouri.
